"Democracy" is perceived as an ideal form of government and political system. Several countries have adopted democratic form of government. Indicates supreme power lies in the hands of citizens. It is people who elect leaders to represent them. Democracy may De referred to as the orientation and the political system by the people and for the people. The best known form of government carries several advantages, but is also related to some drawbacks. We will discuss the theme, Is republic an ideal form of government?

The simple answer for discussion is one size does not fit all. Democracy can not be called as an ideal form of government. However, it is comparatively better than other forms of government. The role of government is not to govern the people and this is what democracy is all about. At least people have the opportunity to speak their minds or elect their representatives, which is not viable option in other forms of government.
